Napa used to carry OEM grade parts. Still do for Ford. O'Reilly's stocks Murray
I'm going to a 180° for summer
Mishimoto obviously is an option but nobody carries them local
Thoughts/suggestions. I don't mind a few extra $ for a quality part
We carry mishimoto but sadly we aren't local LOL.
I'd go with Napa or oreily. Always have had decent luck with them!

I've been changing stats for over 4 decades and this last time, I put in a NAPA and the temp swung more that I've seen before.
I threw in an O'Reilly and got the same.
Went to Dodge and got a cummins and it's been fine since.
Never seen this before, but I'll never throw the cummins stat away.
Now that I know Dude's Diesel has mishitmoto, I might try that next time, but I will not throw that cummins ..

Only problem with Cummins branded is that dealerships and actual Cummins service/sales don't have a 180° for an 09
I know a 99-13 is supposed to fit though. When I called the closest Cummins location with my VIN all they had was a 190°. And a 1998 spec 180° that may or may not fit
Now putting in a Cummins 190° would be fine but don't need it that hot anymore without emissions. Especially in the summer. Winter would be fine

Spec calls for 190. You're making a mistake attempting to lower the engine temp. Keep the rad clear of debri and she'll be fine. Trust me. It's complicated why it's a mistake.
