GPS bypass

So back in the bay you used to be able to bypass the saftey features on a GPS so you could program destinations manually while driving. I mean the VOice command is a POS. Is there a mod of some sorts? If I want to enter a new destination I dont want to pull over on highway and program new address or POI.

Any ideas?

I have read on other forums about a device called (I think) MyGig Lockpick or something like that. I think it’s less than $300.
