    Turbo Trouble?

Well damn, I have P2262, P226C, P2563 that started about a week ago along with the CEL.

I been able to drive it with little to no problems a couple times, but it just seemed weak and was having high Boost pressures 30-35psi running 75 to 80mph.

I read that it could be the Actuator so today I turned the key on and unpluged and plug it in about 30-40 times to cycle the Actuator.

Well this seemed to work and I was able to clear the codes.

After that I went to grab my girlfriend and the truck ran fine and the the CEL came back on after about 40min of driving and when I turn the truck off and then started it again the truck had a whistle to it.

Then when I started to give it juice, black smoke and no power.

I was able to limp home and could only do about 18mph and it was bucking/smoking if I tried to give it anymore juice.

Running DRD Warp tunes W/full deletes since 70,000 miles have 237,000 miles now

Wonder if anyone has had this problem and what fixed it?

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Most likely your turbo actuator.

    See the information attached.

    Re: Turbo Trouble?

It sounds like an actuator issue.

It lasted to 237k miles is pretty good.

A lot of them don’t even make it to 100k miles.

    Re: Turbo Trouble?

The City Diesel actuator is a great option that will self-calibrate, stronger motor, and be better built than OEM.

    See attached instructions.

Note: Step #9 should be performed before purchase.

Crap, I can't move the shaft for the turbo but only a little.

I also tried with some force, still nothing.

I want to put a drop-in and wonder what you guys think is the best?

    Is Reman a new brand?

I would recommend a new turbo and actuator.

    There are several options.

If you would like to keep your exhaust brake, you could go with a direct fit replacement like Fleece Cheetah, or you could do a 2nd or 3rd Generation swap where you would need to replace your exhaust manifold make other modifications.

@DDP can advise on your best option for your situation and price the parts.

    Please keep us posted.

    Re: Turbo Trouble?

I run a Fleece Cheetah, and it's not only a direct fit but a great way to turn a negative into a positive and wake up the truck.

Well, I have sprayed everything with PB blaster, took off the air filter bo,x, and started taking off bolts to replace the universal joints on the front axles.

Yeah, I will be rebuilding the front end and turbo and your joints.

Looking at the Fleece Cheetah and one question is how does the E-Brake work on yours?
