Strongly Advise Not To Purchase Anything From Recon Truck Accessories!

Hello forum friends, just wanted to pop in and tell you what happened to me so that it doesn't happen to you!

I recently purchased a third brake light from Recon Truck Accessories for a 2nd Gen Dodge.

Once I received it, I held it up to the cab, and daylight showed at each top corner.

I immediately called Recon, and I was nothing but nice to them, and the guy was calm as could be until I asked for a refund.

He immediately got an attitude and went psycho and hung up on me I called back and he answered again and said I needed to pay for return shipping and fill out their return form.

I complied with their request, sent the item back, and saw that they received the package and signed for it via FedEx tracking.

I am still waiting for a refund, and they seem to care less, even after emailing them.

They left me no choice but to contact my bank.

I don't even know how that company is still in business!

Buyer beware, vendors beware, and hopefully you'll steer clear of them!

Recon sucks!

I purchased cab lights for my 2016 RAM 3500 because the OEM lights faded terribly by the sun.

They said the lights are the same as OEM in fitment.

Three of the lights leaked water into the cab, and two of them filled with condensation.

It took an act of Congress to get them replaced under warranty, and those replacements leaked as well.

Ended up purchasing OEM lights and never had an issue again.

Stay on them for that refund!

I had a similar experience with them about 5 years ago.

Nice to hear nothing has changed.

My brother took a few pictures with his iPhone while I held the light in place, but the files are too large to send to my 5-year-old Samsung.

I'm assuming it's a picture quality issue with my old phone.

Just to give you a visual idea of what it looked like there was basically a gap in both top corners that you could stick a pencil into the cab and the plastic housing curved down too quickly.

The guys that own/work at Recon are some of the biggest jerks and by far the rudest people I've ever dealt with on the phone in my close to 40 years on this earth.

I agree entirely, their products suck!

I honestly truly believe that they are intentionally scamming people knowing that their parts do not fit and are getting rich off of restocking fees, shipping fees, claiming damaged shipping etc.

It's absolutely sickening!
