    Re: 68RFE Factory Rebuilt Transmission?

Well, bought a 68RFE rebuilt and had it put in by a local shop that will warranty it for 3 years or 100k miles.

Question, they said they put the truck in relearn.

How can I tell it's in relearn, and do I need to change anything in my M33 tune?

How do you put the truck into relearn mode?

    Thanks,
    Mitch

The shop should have done a software relearn with a scan tool to reset the CVI values.

I would check back with them to confirm.

If the relearn has been completed, all you should have to do is a “drive learn”.

Does the relearn automatically stop after a certain number of miles, or do I have to stop it manually?

Also, when u say "drive learn," does that mean drive the truck normally, or is that a setting?

The “relearn” is a one-time procedure with a scan tool.

It will reset the Clutch Volume Index (CVI) and doesn’t stop or need to be repeated unless hard parts of the transmission are replaced or the transmission is rebuilt.

See the post #3 in this link for the “drive learn” process. https://www.igotacummins.com/showthr...elearn-Process I would add do not use tow haul mode or exhaust brake during the drive learn period.
