    68RFE Transmission Problem?

    I have a 2016 2500 Laramie, MM3 tuned,168k miles.

Recently threw codes P0734 and P0735.

It won't go over 28, acts as if it slips into neutral.

If I stop the truck, then go again, it'll shift back into 1st and repeat, feeling like it slips into neutral at about 28-30 mph.

It's at a local, trusted shop for diagnostics.

If it needs a tranny rebuild or a new tranny, does that require a tranny relearn?

If so, can you link me to the relearn instructions?

The day before this happened, I replaced the valve cover gasket, so I had to undo a few connectors.

I double-checked my work to make sure everything was connected back correctly, and the truck ran great for 20 miles before this happened.

The question is, could this have anything to do with throwing the codes, the engine light coming on, and the transmission doing what it is doing?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

See attached troubleshooting information for the trouble codes.

If you need a transmission rebuild or replacement, you will need a transmission relearn and drive learn.

See drive-and-learn instructions at the link below.
