Hello, I'm looking to do a drop-in turbo upgrade.
Looking at Fleece, Hooligan, ATS Aurora 4000, and BD screamer.
Not making big power.
I want a little quicker spool and maybe a little more whistle.
Any suggestions from you guys that have been running Any of these
@DDP has its own VGT drop-in turbo that might spark your interest.
I had the Fleece Cheetah 64mm in mine for a brief moment.
It spooled quicker even with stock fueling, and the whistle was similar to stock.
Don't be the guy who removes the silencer ring.
If you want the whistle, go with a tune or look up the T51R turbo mod.
It's simply sending your compressor housing to a company like AGP, buying housing made for the mm turbo you're buying, or buying the turbo with the mod done by them.
The CNC mills out the whole inlet housing, places a billet section, and forms it to work correctly.
It's buck nasty for sound, LOL.
I haven't heard one on the VGT setup, only for the fixed vane 400 series.
It's louder than Fords with exhaust.
AGP initially started doing this for the neon SRTs and got noticed.
They have gone further and further in creating, IMHO, the loudest housings out.

When I was doing some work on my truck, I considered swapping the Cheetah.
Guy said that he recommends them if your factory one goes out, but he personally wouldn't do it just because.
I suppose it has something to do with how you drive, too.
I only tow an 18k 5er around, so I'm not sure if it would make that much of a difference for me.
Either way, I'd spring for the Fleece oil drain line for sure and maybe even look at headers if you're already in there.
