Durable Tires?
Hey everyone!
I am looking into getting new tires for my 2016 RAM DRW.
I currently have KO2s but was having wear issues, specifically on the front.
I wanted to get commercial tires for the truck so it would ride better/quieter and get better gas mileage, and the tires, from what I hear, last much longer.
However, I live in southern Indiana, and the weather isn’t always the best.
Has anyone used commercial tires where it snows? Or any recommendations on the most durable tires that would be decent in all weather?
I don’t do much off-roading, just my field, if anything.

Re: Durable Tires?
Following, I think my next set of tires is going to be the Falken Wildpeak AT3W.

Re: Durable Tires?
I’ve been running the same set of Falken Wildpeak tires for the last 50k miles on my dually.
The tires are performing well, and the wear is great.
I figure I have maybe 15k to 20k more miles before I have to replace them.
I air the rears down to around 35psi when not towing but keep the front tires aired all the way up all the time.
I have them rotated pretty regularly.
The truck is no race truck; it’s set up to tow heavy, but I’ve driven these tires all over the US and used them in all weather conditions.
They do have siping and perform especially well in the snow if that’s something you’re looking for.

Re: Durable Tires?
Currently have Dura Grapplers with 40k plus.
I’ve had commercial tires in the past and don’t recommend them for snow; our trucks are pretty light for their minimum inflation tables.
Mine were like driving on ice skates in the snow.
Towing might be different.
I’ve heard good things about the WP3 and might try those next.

Re: Durable Tires?
I myself have narrowed my search down to the Wildpeaks as well as the newer Toyo Open Country RT Trail or Mickey Thompson Trail Boss!
Depends on $$$$$ @ the time of purchase.
Going back to OEM size (285/60R20).
We have a ton of choices out in the market today.
One tire that has caught my attention and eye is the Radar Renegade RT.
Though I have pretty much settled on the Wildpeaks!
