ATF for Aisin Transmission
I'm just curious if any of the Aisin guys have any input on the type of fluid their using. It's time for a flush for me and from what I've found online is that it's a must to use Mopar branded asrc fluid. I know the 68 uses ATF+4 but I saw somewhere that using the wrong fluid can cause the clutches to break down faster. I've heard Mobil 3309?? Anyone can back that up?

Plain ol' ATF 4 is fine. Just use one of the major companies. It's pretty much the same quality with all of them.

I second that any of the major name brands in ATF+4 will get the job done

Mobil 3309 is what I have been using since the first fluid change at 45000 miles.
I have changed the fluid three times now using 3309 and have 146000 trouble-free miles.
I believe that is the fluid Asian recommends.
I buy the 3309 from Amazon's best pricing.
ATF for Aisin Transmission
Just stumbled upon this old post.
I want to clarify that the only transmission fluid approved and recommended by FCA for the Aisin transmission is ASRC Automatic Transmission Fluid, P/N 05189966AD.

A sticker on the side of transmission also states Mobil 3309 is recommended too.
Changed mine a couple of weeks ago and used 3309—no problems and shifts smoother.
