Re: MM3 monitor temperature
Thanks for the input to everyone! I didn't want to leave it in the truck with temps rising and possibly damage it.
Re: MM3 monitor temperature
Mine has one of the gauges that is STC-IT? It has a line that is green at less than 100 degrees but the line turns red as it climbs to over 120 degrees. I still haven't figured out what STC-IT is.
Re: MM3 monitor temperature
Elliss, STC-IT is what I was looking at to determine the temp of the unit. If I'm wrong, please, someone chime in to direct me in the right direction.

I believe STC-IT stands for "Smarty Touch Controller - Internal Temperature"

Re: MM3 monitor temperature
Is there a point at which I should unplug the unit and let it cool down? Even when driving for 1-3 hrs with the a/c on and the interior of the truck around 70-75 degrees it still gets upward of 130 or so.

Re: MM3 monitor temperature
Hello everyone!
The MM3 is made from automotive grade materials, meaning that everything has been tested to extreme temperatures for both heat and cold.
We even have a handful of customers in the middle east and Australia where it gets brutally hot.
There are always things that can happen in extreme scenarios, in those events use common sense to prevent damage to your product and vehicle.
Most importantly, rest easy knowing that we take care of our customers!
