Hello, all! My name is Bob and I just found this forum accidentally when searching for information about RaceMe Ultra tuners. Unfortunately, I have already purchased it and had it installed or I would have purchased from a site sponsor here:(
My wife and I retired in 2014, sold everything and hit the road full time with two dogs in a 34' 2011 HitchHiker fifth wheel. Great lifestyle!
So, to make a long story short, after seven years (bought the truck new in 2010), I started getting the 'DPF 80% Full' message on the EVIC. Would get it out on the highway and run it until it reported that Regen was completed. Started looking at replacement DPFs, only to find they were VERY expensive. Came to the conclusion that, for just a bit more coin, since I'm out of warranty, that I could delete all that junk. Initially looked at the Mini-Maxx and separate tranny tune, and then found RaceMe tuners while doing research. Decided on RaceMe as H&S is kinda/sorta out of business so support might be hard to come by. So, bought the RaceMe Ultra, EGR and EGR cooler delete kit (Sinister), EGT probe, and 4" cat-to-factory muffler kit. Had it installed this past Monday, and I have some questions that I'll start a new thread for.
Looking forward to being an active member of the forum!
Regards,
Bob
