2017 RAM Cummins G56 Swap Issues
Hey guys looking for some help.
I have just done a G56 swap; everything went well.
I ran a PIN 4 on the 68RFE wiring harness to the natural safety switch on the clutch pedal, and the truck starts when the clutch is pressed, and 4lo works when the clutch is pressed.
Everything works as it should, but I have an ABS light and traction control light on, and my cruise control doesn't work, hoping someone out there can help.
I talked to Ray at DRD, and he hasn't seen this before.
Thanks

Try clearing codes first if they will not clear or pop back up.
Two options.
1) Have dealer flash body control module to manual
2) Use Alfa OBD2 to configure the abs module.
Here is a thread about ABS, traction control, and cruise.
For a Jeep, but the same thing.

Once sorted, please follow up with a post.
I am considering collecting parts to switch to a manual.
Do you have electronic or manual 4wd?
Do the backup lights and camera work?

Thanks.
I'll give that a go.
I have an electronic case, and no, there are no backup lights yet, but I don't have the G56 wiring harness.

Go to your ABS and do the ABS initialization.
There are four steps to it; it tells you how to do it very quickly.

Would you be willing to do a summary write-up for your swap?
It would be helpful for individuals that will be performing the swap in the future.
Some key questions would be:
1) Did you change adapter plates?
2) What tuning platform did you use?
3) Where did you get your driveshaft lengths changed, or were they from a parts truck?
4) What clutch did you get, and how do you like the initial engagement?
5) Stock or aftermarket shifter?
6) Fluid type did you use?
7) Was it worth it?
8) Where did you get the trans? Does it have any aftermarket parts or hardened gears? Which version?
9) Why did you swap instead of trading for a truck with a manual?
My interest is self-centered, as I am considering the change to a manual.
I have compiled a parts list and have been weighing make a swap or trade the truck.
The lowest effort would be to trade, but I usually default to the highest effort lowest cost.

I have had so many issues with my 68RFE I'm done with it and about to G56 swap it.
I'm with Crshanta.
Not to count what issues you found during the swap.

Ditto.
Re: 2017 RAM Cummins G56 Swap Issues
Anyone got an update for a G56 swap?
Re: 2017 RAM Cummins G56 Swap Issues
Nope.
I am finishing home projects first while stress testing the 68.
I will throw 37s on here in the next couple of weeks.
