Does anyone have the webpage with all the P codes handy ? I can't find mine.
I found the code...P2400
EVAP Leak Detection Pump Ctrl Circ/Open
has anyone dealt with this? I don't usually get these smaller trucks, emissions are quite different from a Mack.
Thanks!!
Also!!! has fuel service required on dash message center.... related??
Change fuel filters, clear the code run it awhile and rescan for codes. I seem to think the P2400 will come from another code.
But on another note, what is done to the truck? I seem to think this could stem from a sensor to the EGR DPF DEF system, or SCR. Not sure where the HD goes with the SCR vs EGR/DPF
That is the only code. The only other thing is the service fuel system on lcd message center. The crankcase breather had never been changed and was blowing oil out onto the valve cover, I changed that.
any tuning or other mods?
no mods, state owned truck
update... I got my hands on a decent scan tool. p2400 was not in there as it shouldn't be. P2400 is an evap code for a gas engine. The code that was in there was P2509. ecm power issue. oddly after some research this code is also related to a bad fan clutch. I believe the problem came from an ignition key/ lights being left on over night.
another update. After a coupole of test drives another code came up P24ED. Its an ammonia sensor. I checked with the dealer and this truck has open recalled for aftertreatment and shift lock. Off to the dealer it goes
