Steering Wheel Buttons Not Working
I have a 2015 RAM with 146K.
The radio control buttons stopped working and the EVIC control stopped working.
The cruise control buttons still work fine.
I’ve done lots of research on the Internet, most people say it may be the clock spring.
I bought a new clock spring and that did not fix the issue.
I don’t know what else to do.

Check for recalls, Or TSB's there was a recall for this issue.
I just cannot remember if it was just for 1500's or HD.
I believe it was an upgraded Harness that protected it better and it was common to lose all controls, audio evic, horn but cruise would still work.
Another thing I remember reading, if your backup camera shows the colored lines, (if you have that option selected) and they move as you turn then it's not the clock spring.
So do some digging cause its 335am and I work days and got called into work cuz of co-worker emergency.
So I no sleepy since Sunday night.

Good memory! R36 addressed the steering wheel harness concerns.
See link below, it only lists the 2012-2014 but that may have been extended to other years.

I feel you, I’m working nights this week.
The dealer said my truck does not need that recall, mine is a 2015.
I’m at a loss, all the online searching I’ve done has either said the clockspring, steering wheel harness, or no one ever posted how the got their issues fixed.
I’ve replaced clockspring and wiring harness, but still no fix.
I’ll check my backup camera lines after work.

Re: Steering Wheel Buttons Not Working
I noticed that Cummins Forum and diesel truck resource had many threads on this.
Check the ramforumz.
From what i remember the some of the parts are the same that's used on a newer 1500.
They were having issues with this as well.
I know my truck has times that I hit buttons and nothing but usually work on like 3rd push.
Same as to turn on cruise. but then will act normal for weeks.
Re: Steering Wheel Buttons Not Working
Taking the truck to the dealer on Tuesday, fingers crossed.

Re: Steering Wheel Buttons Not Working
I’m so happy to have my truck back and fixed!
Fuse Number 49!
I swear I checked them all with a test light.
If anyone needs to buy a new clockspring or steering wheel wiring harness let me know.

Funky.
I'm having the same exact issue; no EVIC/Radio horn action.
Looked for fuse #49 nowhere to be found.
I have a 2012 2500 Longhorn Laramie.
Was that fuse in the TIPM?
