However, I care not to sell their products personally any more due to this. If you wish to purchase a Stainless Diesel product, contact Stainless Diesel directly. We can't afford to eat 1000 dollars or more getting a replacement for the customer when a turbo fails shortly out of the box.

O Man Ray I haven't been on the site for a while this is the 1st I've heard about this issue with Stainless Diesel.
Very disappointing. Like I said that Turbo had less than 15 / 20 minutes on it and we did everything correctly we primed it new oil and drove to king soopers and back.[emoji35]
This has literally left a sickening feeling in my stomach..

Update...
Stainless Diesel refunded us for the purchase of a second turbo for Flanagan...which was the right thing for them to do.
We are pleased with the outcome and will continue to offer Stainless Diesel products. Thanks to all involved with this settlement.

Re: 2012 2nd Gen. Swab Stainless diesel and DRD
So I got an email from Stainless Diesel today
and first, off they did apologize for the delay in the refund. I am happy that Stainless did step up and credit DRD.
So after talking to Jon at Stainless, the deal is I got a 465 turbo with a 90 housing and on their website, it does say ALL 465 WITH THE 90 WILL NOT BE WARRANTED due to a chance of over speed.
So I live here at 8000 feet in elevation we thought it would be a good fit but here is the kicker high altitude the air is thinner and in fact will spin the turbo easier hence the risk of OVER SPEED. So take it for what it's worth.
I still am looking for something to calm my EGTs. This is why we thought the 90 housing would be good and keep the turbo spin speed
to help keep it cool.
So now with the 100 housing, I need to keep the RPMs up and shift manually a lot but as I stated earlier I can easily run and gets up over the safety zone but it does have the power. Maybe a bigger intercooler will do it I just don't know.
All and I am happy and would do it again.
Just the EGTs.
Stock 68RFE is great so far the Revmax VB
really helped it out so far.
