Truck In Limp Mode With Codes P0472 / U029D
I have a 2014 6.7L, both EGR and DPF deleted, but today, out of the blue today, I got a P0472 (Exhaust Pressure Sensor A Circuit Low) and a U029D (Lost Communication with NOX Sensor 'A').
Then the truck went into limp mode, and I had a heck of a time getting home.
Aren't both of the sensors involved in these messages disabled by the tuner?
Hopefully, this is a quick fix; any help is appreciated!

My advice is to inspect the disconnected plugs and wiring going to those code devices.
Check for any damage or corrosion.
Did you install Shibby plugs or tape them up to protect from the elements?

No I did not for either of those.
Never been an issue in water, mud, or snow until now :-/
I assume the 0472 is the exhaust pressure sensor but what's the u029 "NOx sensor*?

If you didn’t protect the disconnected plug ends, they probably could have corrosion which might have led to your issue.
Have you contacted the person who tuned your rig?

I did reach out to them later last night.
Am I to assume these codes are tune-related?

That is a good question to ask your tuner.
However, having two codes pop up for no apparent reason would make me believe you have a plug or wiring issue affecting those circuits.
Hoping it’s something simple.
Please keep us posted.

Ray with DRD says the U029 DTC is normal with all 13+ deleted trucks and doesn't hinder performance.
It's the P0472 exhaust pressure circuit code that I'm struggling with.
I just don't get how a sensor that isn't connected can throw a code?

“On 13-newer trucks, the exhaust backpressure sensor can be removed because the ECM doesn't mind losing its input”.
Looking at my notes, this statement from Ray suggests that the PCM is still connected to the backpressure circuit and is okay with an open circuit.
Nothing coming back on K335 or K934.
See attached PDF for diagram and theory of operation.

Very odd because I can access the attachment on both Tapatalk and the IGOTACUMMINS website.
Please try it again on both; if you still have trouble, I can PM it to you.
