2006 Front End Rebuild - 3rd Gen RAM
Afternoon guys/gals!
Just wondering what everyone is buying for replacement parts on the front end of these 3rd Gens.
I just put new tires on my 06, and now I need to do ball joints, tie-rods if needed—possibly track bar, and a new steering dampener.
The steering gearbox is also going to get replaced.
Basically, getting everything in good shape.
I don’t drive this truck as much as I used to but want quality parts on it.
What is everyone using, and for our Vendors, what kind of deals can we get?
Thanks for the help and suggestions!

Re: 2006 Front End Rebuild - 3rd Gen RAM
I had an 06 and spent thousands on the front end before I found a combo that worked great!
Carli ball joints, yes, they are expensive but worth it!
I went with the Thuren heavy-duty steering upgrade with Hemi joints.
Thuren adjustable track bar and a Carli steering damper.
I never had an issue with the steering box and I had the truck for over 200k miles before I got rid of it.
Kicking myself in the a$$ right now about it.
miss the 5.9 but now I'm driving a 2018 6.7L G56 Bighorn.
Hope this helps!!

I worked with Thuren directly on the steering components and Carli Suspension for the ball joints and steering damper.
The guys at DDP will assist with these parts as well, and they are great to work with!
