68RFE Trans - Shifter Lever Clamp?
I've fixed and helped others shift loose levers, and the bolt must be tightened.
My lever today just went loose and wobbled.
I go to tighten the bolt, but the entire clamp was cracked in two places.
This material is crap material.
58k miles on my truck.
It's Friday, and I can't drive it.
Replacement part # I can't find one yet.
Any other ideas out there?

It looks like you will need to come up with a simple bush fix until you can find a replacement.
Maybe vice grips with a pipe attached or try to use the existing bolt to hold a piece of flattened pipe with a hole for the bolt.
I can’t think of any good repair options with that pot metal bracket.

I used a pair of pliers but need to be careful as the ones I used have tread teeth, and it took material off this crap bracket.
I wonder if JB Weld would help until I get a new part.
Also, I need to look at recall or TSB
I thought there was one don't remember the years.
But for now, I'm off the street and in my driveway.

You could try JB Weld, but I will be surprised if it holds.

Re: 68RFE Trans - Shifter Lever Clamp?
Thanks, I found one last night and ordered it.
It is a poor material used, but I think it could have been over-tightened by the factory.
It took much farmhand juice to break that bolt loose.
Re: 68RFE Trans - Shifter Lever Clamp?
Well, the local dealership had 4 in stock.
8n a town of just over 20k people.
So upon research, my truck received the first tsp for the shift interlock transmission fix.
On the TSP, toss out the bracket with a new one.
The service writer told me there were 7 or 8 part number changes since 2018 due to manly issues with the bracket.
He said they would fix it for free, But they are booked for almost four weeks.
I canceled my online order for the part and bought one at the dealership for 15$ more.
One funny thing, I asked about the Draglink recall.
And if RAM has ever figured out a replacement yet and is caring for the ram owners.
He said no, not yet, but the current weld fix should be just fine.
I laughed and said until you need to do an alignment or straighten your steering wheel as he looked confused.
I didn't realize it's a T-27 torx bit for removing the bracket.
I've never had to use a T27, so I finally found one at harbor freight.
Tomorrow I'll swap out and fix the truck.
I will miss the vise grips, haha.

Done.
A pain if you have more extensive hands and lack delicate ability.
So let's hope the new bracket is the best of the Chinese this time.
The pieces that initially broke cracked, folded, whatever you want to call it.
RIt reminds me of those videos on YouTube
A person in a 3rd world country casting
Parts.
The oem part looks like glitter in it, LOL.
It's shiny enough I could cut pieces of it and use it on my salmon rod.
Thanks all.
