Yeah. Thanks. I haven't spent enough time on one of those.
I remember the 3rd gen 6.7's. My hood was up more than down on that thing. I spent months working on a EGR delete. The one idea I came up with worked very well, it was a system I came up with using the EGR.
When I checked the exhaust gasses, they were lower than original. It was ahead of it's time.
The big boys shot me down on it without even testing it.
Re: Not Deleting shorten Engine life?
Anyone know what Rays response time is - to respond back from e-mails?
Nothing yet from last week's email.

Re: Not Deleting shorten Engine life?
I already did last week - with still no reply back - this is the reason for my question.
Explained what I might need & asked for advice.
Actually sent a message via your website.
Thanks Lonnie

With the new urea systems, the engine life is much higher. The killer is the EGR. You can simply unplug it and the flapper below it. @
RamIt Are they using those on the 4th gens? I was one of the pioneers removing EGR's back in 08.
Sorry I never saw this tag. But yes the TV is on the 4th & 5th gens. I deleted mine as a safeguard to unintentional closure.
Re: Not Deleting shorten Engine life?
@DRD - Only looking for a tuning package that will allow me to keep the EGR system in tacked (but just shut it off).
Also to delete all of the OEM exhaust emissions equipment & replace with a muffler & delete pipe & possibly a 30hp tow tune.
Only looking to preserve the longevity of my new 6.7L as well as possibly add a bit more low end grunt to aid in towing our new 5th Wheel RV - when that time comes in the near future.
Thanks Lonnie
If I new my new 6.7L CTD would not suffer any ill effects from keeping the EGR system operational until my warranty was up I would feel much better.
Even though 3/4 of my miles have been highway or interstate @ 65-80 mph for more then 20min & will continue so!
I try very hard to limit my short trip in town driving & have virtually no long term idle time. If I have to idle for more then 2 min - I use The high idle (1200 rpms)
The JUDGE only has 6400 miles so far.
Just for the record - I did receive a email confirmation - stating DRD did receive my email just after I submitted it.
But I understand - things do get over looked.
